Update:

The end of the provision of the above-mentioned services announced by T-Mobile Polska caused great discontent among the people who use them. They feel cheated by a magenta worker who has not offered them anything in return. Dissatisfied people even threaten to file a complaint with the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection about this. In this case, it is worth reading the T-Mobile regulations to find out the following:

The operator has the right to modify the Agreement, including to discontinue or limit the provision of a particular telecommunications service or its options.

The above quote is from Regulations for the provision of prepaid communication services in the T-mobile prepaid system (paragraph 12 ust. 3).

Our readers report that T-Mobile does not hear their questions and voices of exasperation over the expiration of the provision of selected services in its prepaid offers, and it also removes comments about this from its social media. Therefore, we sent a request for comment to the press office of T-Mobile Polska, including in response to the following questions:

  • What is the reason for resigning from the above services and does T-Mobile plan anything in return?
  • Does T-Mobile Polska intend to continue ignoring the voices of people angry at the announced changes and not answering their questions?
  • Why is T-Mobile Polska removing from its social media comments for customers dissatisfied with the operator’s plans and questions they ask?

Update 2:

We received answers from T-Mobile Polska to the questions asked. We publish it below.

  1. What is the reason for resigning from the above services and does T-Mobile plan anything in return?

The services in question were made available in 2016 and are currently used by only a few dozen customers. The systems on which these offers were implemented, compared to those on which we currently serve most of our prepaid customers, are now outdated and are only maintained for the above offers. Such a situation makes the maintenance of these services not only time-consuming, but also hinders the development of other, more innovative products.

In August, customers of legacy services will receive a detailed message about the changes planned from October 1, 2021. We will encourage these users to activate other services from our current offering, which are built on more efficient and innovative systems. We are convinced that customers will not only appreciate the liquidity and quality of services based on the latest technologies, but will also be satisfied with the conditions currently available, for example in the GO! (There is a free promotion of 100 GB after filling up the card) or Heyah Prepaid (Free GB after filling up the card).

  1. Does T-Mobile Polska intend to continue ignoring the voices of people angry at the announced changes and not answering their questions?

Our consultants answer customers’ questions on an ongoing basis in all communication channels. It’s hard for us to address the above question in detail, because we don’t know which app is exactly what it is. In addition, in the context of the end of the provision of the respective services in October, we will send a special message to users in August, which will surely dispel all doubts of customers.

  1. Why does T-Mobile Polska remove comments from customers who are dissatisfied with the operator’s plans and questions they ask from its social media?

We are not used to removing unfavorable or critical comments on our social channels. However, there may be situations where we hide the possibility of seeing comments (then the post is visible to the person who wrote it and their friends), but this applies to excluding situations related to breaching Internet rules, such as profanity, spam or other network propaganda. In the event of termination of selected prepaid services, one post was hidden due to spam. Every comment and other post on this issue has received a response.

We encourage you to view, for example, our Facebook fan page – there you can see that in the comments we often encounter criticism from our users and respond to negative reviews. We listen to the voices of dissatisfied customers especially carefully, because such signals allow us to improve the quality of our services.
