Even the pouring rain couldn’t dampen the excitement at the Redbud track that hosted the Motocross of Nations last weekend. Thousands of fans flock to this historic site to attend the seventy-fifth edition of this unique event.

Three races were held in the final, each time competing in two classes: MXGP and MX2, MX2 and MX Open and MXGP and MX Open. The United States team performed well, taking their first Motocross of Nations win in 11 years, thanks to great starts and high finishing positions.

MXGP and MX2

Eli Tomac won the first race ahead of top driver Jako Geertz, who had the fastest lap of the race, and Maxime Ranaux. Hunter Lawrence, eighth, won the MX2 class. Justin Cooper was second in this class and K de Wolf was third.

MX2 and MX Open

In race two, Mattia Guadagnini led for most of the race, but was eventually overtaken by Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton, who finished third and moved up to second. Justin Cooper finished fourth. Hunter Lawrence, Kay DeWolf and Dylan Ferrandis fell. Fastest on the track this time was Ferrantes, who managed to get back to sixth place.

MXGP and MX Open

France’s third race: Maxime Renaux and Dylan Ferrantes start 1-2. They were followed by Chase Sexton and Eli Tomac in 12th place. Both teams were close on points, but Ferrantes fell and choked the American pair. Tomac finished sixth and Renaux successfully held off Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton to win the race and the MXGP class ahead of Eli Tomac and Jeremy Seewer.

Justin Cooper won the MX2 class ahead of Hunter Lawrence and Marvin Musquin, and Jett Lawrence won the Open class ahead of Chase Sexton and Dylan Ferrandis.
