Red and white on Fifth Avenue. The Poles showed pride in their country. I am proud to be able to win medals for Poland, providing so many emotions, impressions and tears. Meetings with Polish immigrants surprised me because many cried during the conversation with me – Vodorsik told the PAP.
Earlier, he participated in the “National Reading” campaign at the Consulate General of Poland in New York.
– This is the first time I have participated in this initiative. It is good that this happened at the Consulate General of Poland in New York because I am open to meetings with the Polish community. During this effort, meetings with young people were organized in Polish schools. In Poland, I spend a lot of time meeting children, and now, for the first time in history, I have had such an opportunity outside of my own country, ”Vodorsik acknowledged.

– On the other hand, I only visited New York and its environs during the summer. This was my third time in this city. I was invited by the local Polish community for the first time since the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. I met so many wonderful people here. This last visit was special after winning the third Olympic medal. I picked up three gold medals here to share the success with the local Polish community – three-time Olympic champion.

It was definitely three days spent in New York. I drove about 80km in those days – she agreed.
Vodarsik is already thinking about the new season, which will feature the American cities of Eugene and Portland, Oregon (July 15-24).
On October 20 I will start preparations for the new season. I will spend most of my time outside of Poland. In winter, we leave the country to train in hot weather. This is necessary because for security reasons there are no halls in the world where you can throw a hammer. Life begins in suitcases – Vodorsik concludes.
