Another project co-financed by the “Polish Metrology” program
As part of the “Polish Metrics” program, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology will implement the project “Ensuring consistency of measurement of large resistance witness patterns with the highest possible accuracy”. For this purpose, the university will receive support from the Ministry of Education and Science in the amount of PLN 850,000. zloty. The cooperation agreement within the framework of the initiative was signed by representatives of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Central Office for Measures. The ceremony was attended by Wojciech Mordczyk, MEiN’s Foreign Minister.
Wrocław University of Science and Technology, as part of the “Polish Measurement” program, will implement a project called “Ensuring measurement consistency of large resistance witness patterns with the highest possible accuracy”. The cooperation agreement under the initiative was signed by the President of the Wrocław University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs and Head of the Central Office for Measures Prof. Jacek Seminyak.
The token check for the implementation of the project was handed over to the university authorities by Wojciech Murdzek, MEiN’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. The total amount of support under the program is PLN 854,100.
Functional surface analysis in mechanical engineering.
The project is a continuation of two previous research programs carried out in 2008-2011 and 2015-2018. As part of these projects, the authors established a two-track system to calibrate the most important secondary resistance parameters at the Central Procedures Office.
As part of the “Functional Surface Analysis in Mechanical Engineering” project, the current system will be retested. The active bridge will also be modernized, thanks to which its metering capabilities will be expanded, as well as the thermostat chamber, which will allow to improve its parameters and facilitate control. The result of the work will be an improved system that will ensure that the measurement can be traced back to large resistance parameters in the 1 GW – 100 TW range with the highest possible accuracy, using impedance transfers.
The results of the work will be published in international and national scientific journals, as well as presented at international conferences (including: “Conference on Microelectromagnetic Measurements”) and national conferences (including “Conference on Intercollegiate Metrology and Fundamental Problems of Measurement”).

The program “Polish Metrology” aims to support scientific research and development work in areas related to measurement. This undertaking makes it possible to implement projects that serve, inter alia, to increase the competitiveness of the Polish economy and stimulate the development of metrology, in particular in the areas of health, environment, energy, advanced metrology and the development of digital technologies.
The Ministry of Education and Science has allocated more than 21 million PLN for the implementation of projects within the framework of the “Polish Metrology” program. 83 applications were submitted for the competition, and 26 projects were qualified for funding.
