Covid-19 vaccine and warts?

Covid-19 vaccine and warts?

On social media in Australia, people who have received mRNA vaccines against Covid-19 have started reporting faint warts or other positive skin lesions on their skin, Australian news.com.au reported on Tuesday.

After vaccination, they should be gone, among others moles, birthmarks, psoriasis eruptions or spots associated with eczema.

Although the relationship between coronavirus vaccines and viral warts has yet to be thoroughly analyzed, a study published in October 2021 in the Scientific Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) concluded that the use of Covid-19 preparations may be associated with changes in the skin. .

As a possible explanation for this phenomenon, there is, among other things, an enhancement of the immune system response after vaccination, which translates into the fight against warts. The body may react similarly after being vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV).

As indicated in the study published by EADV, despite reported cases of sudden disappearance of viral warts on the skin after vaccination with mRNA preparations, scientists need to conduct further studies and observations to conclusively confirm this relationship.
