Any DOOM Eternal save saved on Xbox One will be available on Xbox Series X / Series S. Note: You must be signed in with the same Xbox Live account that created the save.

NOTICE FOR DOOM ETERNAL HOLDERS ON PLAYSTATION 4 AND PLAYSTATION 5: While online progress for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is saved via your Bethesda.net account, DOOM Eternal campaign save data is not transferred between consoles.

Software ID also noted that DOOM Eternal is available on Xbox Game PassSo that players can take advantage of the free update without any problems. This isn’t particularly surprising given that id is already part of Microsoft, but it’s definitely worth mentioning as more gamers will get to know this great shooter.
