Samsung and LG: Large TVs will also work well for seniors
According to a Samsung representative, it’s a stereotype that older consumers should use smaller TVs. – Thinking about the needs of the elderly a little, it is worth choosing a TV that is easy to use and will allow you to use your favorite channels – in general, changing the broadcasting standard is a step towards providing viewers with a better experience, regardless of whether the program is broadcast by a public or private broadcaster. What is worth paying attention to is the method of control or layout of the menu, so that the elderly do not have problems with navigating and choosing favorite channels. In addition, if we assume that buying a new TV is an investment for the next few years, it is worth considering choosing a larger screen – 55-inch models are the market standard today. At the same time, it’s a myth that smaller TVs work best in smaller rooms. The larger screen will increase your viewing comfort and allow you to rediscover the world of movies and series – Henryk Chorążewski of Samsung says in an interview with Wirtualnemedia.pl.
The manufacturer recommends the Samsung QLED Q60 and Q70 series for the elderly. Samsung QLED TVs, such as the 55- or 50-inch QLED Q60, are models that combine high 4K picture quality with ease of use, and of course are ready to receive DVB-T2 HEVC signals. The quality of viewers’ impressions is guaranteed, among other things, by Quantum Dot technology, thanks to which the screen is filled with a billion shades of colors. At the heart of these TVs is a powerful processor, which not only automatically adjusts the sound according to viewing conditions, but also optimizes the quality of the content displayed as close to 4K resolution as possible. Everything is done automatically – you don’t need to be an expert or even change settings. In turn, the operation and daily selection of favorite channels will be facilitated by One Pilot, which, by limiting the number of buttons to the necessary minimum, will make navigation quick and intuitive. Televisions of this line have a slim design and, depending on the model, are presented with different stands – it can be a simple two feet of adjustable height or one stand in the middle. Thanks to this, you can easily choose a solution that suits your needs – Chorążewski assures. Usually the cost of such equipment is from 2500 to 3500 PLN depending on the number of inches.
