Techland is looking for developers to work on a new AAA project. The descriptions tell us that Wrocaw residents will be using the Unreal Engine graphics engine.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human didn’t debut on the market, but the people making the script or dealing with level design are no longer working on the latest Techland game. They need a new job, so it’s no surprise that the Polish studio will start creating a new title, while looking for more reinforcements for the team.
According to the latest job announcements, Wrocław residents are preparing for their fans’ “next big game”, which – like Dying Light and Dying Light 2 – will be a high-budget project. Also noted was “knowing the differences between narrative and layering in open-world RPGs,” which sounds very similar to the possibility of Dying Light 3. Techland is probably confident that “the two” will succeed and has no intention of delaying production of the third installment in the series.
But the most interesting thing is that the Poles will most likely switch from the old graphics engines to the Unreal Engine. This change is not surprising, as Techland’s next AAA title will definitely be made with PS5 and XSX mode | S in mind, so developers will be able to put up with the more demanding graphical improvements and gameplay sequences.
