Handlowy Bank’s Supervisory Board (BHW, WSE) appointed Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska to the bank’s board of directors for a term of three years. The term of office begins on June 18, 2021. At the same time, the Supervisory Board of the bank decided to assign wiatopełk-Czetwertyńska to the interim management of the work of the Bank’s Board of Directors from June 18, 2021 until her appointment as the bank’s president. The former head of the bank was Sławomir S. Sikora.
The Council appointed Councilwiatopełk-Czetwertyńska to the position of bank president subject to approval by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to appoint Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska as head of the bank. The appointment will take place on the day when the aforementioned approval has been made by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. As part of the internal division of powers in the board of directors, Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska will act as the head of the bank.
Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska has over 25 years experience in banking in six European and both American markets. She joined the Citi Group in July 1994 in Ecuador as a corporate banking advisor.
In the years 1999-2003 she worked in the Dominican Republic as head of the banking and asset-based finance sector and the SME sector.
She then spent a year in the United States working as an audit that oversaw corporate lending in Latin America.
In 2004, Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska joined Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SA in the area of risk management. In 2005, she was appointed Senior Credit Decision Maker. Three years later, she assumed responsibility for the administration of the central and eastern regions of Poland.
In October 2009, she became Head of Corporate Banking Services and held this position until 2013 when she moved to Colombia. Working in Colombia, Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska was responsible for banking transactions, presenting an effective development strategy. As a member of the Executive Team in Colombia and the Executive Committee of the Banking Sector in Latin America, El wasbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska was involved in developing a strategy for bank operations and banking transactions in the region.
On November 1, 2015, Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska was appointed President of Citi and Head of Corporate Banking and Investment Services in Ecuador. In March 2019, she returned to Europe as President of Citi in Switzerland, Monaco and Liechtenstein.
Elbieta Światopełk- Czetwertyńska is a graduate of the School of Nutrition, Economics and Marketing at the University of Reading in Great Britain. She graduated with honors.
Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska does not carry out any activity other than the bank project, and therefore does not perform any activity competing with the activity of Bank Handlowy in Warsaw, does not participate in a competitive company as a partner in a civil partnership, partnership or capital of a company or participate in a competitive legal entity as a member of its board of directors.
Elżbieta Światopełk-Czetwertyńska was not registered in the insolvent debtors registry maintained in accordance with the Act of August 20, 1997 in the National Courts Registry.
