Already in July we will play F1 22, and then – in August – enter the gangster world in Saints Row (2022) or play the team manager in F1 Manager 2022. In September, in turn, interestingly promised Steelrising or Evil West . However, the most interesting quarter in 2022 will be the most interesting, and the largest results from this period will be mentioned below.
However, it should be noted that the schedule may change. There is always a small percentage of the possibility of a title being delayed at the last minute. In the case of God of War: Ragnarok, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora or Legacy of Hogwarts (production with no specific release date), it may debut on store shelves before the last quarter of 2022, but such a scenario seems highly unlikely.
Dying Light 2 – Story DLC
The creators of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, which debuted on the market in February of this year, aren’t content with its laurels and have been preparing new content for Aiden’s adventure for a long time. Post-premiere support is scheduled to last at least 5 years, during which we will receive not only new events, but also additional two-story content. The first of them is to debut between September and October.
- Premiere: September/October 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
Marvel’s Midnight Sun
Marvel fans should not be bored this year. In just over a hundred days, the long-awaited tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released, which will allow us to engage in various missions, where the main role is played by controlling superheroes thanks to the turn-based battle system. The plot will revolve around Lilith, whose descendants are trying to take over the world. With the help of up to 43 playable heroes, we have to stop him at all costs.
- Premiere: October 7, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S and NS.
foresbook
Forspoken is still being refined by Square Enix. Originally, the game was supposed to start in May, but it was decided that we wouldn’t get to the intriguing fantasy world until October. The story, for which the writer Uncharted is responsible, will tell the story of Freya who is no longer able to witness the persecution. She was destined to find her way to the land of Athena, where she was waiting for much activity and answers to the questions that bothered her.
- Premiere: October 11, 2022 for PC and PS5.
mockery
If you’re interested in short, linear titles, be sure to add ‘disdain’ to your wish list. This first-person survival horror draws on a handful of works created by HR Giger. The materials available so far present a dark atmosphere, blood flowing at every step the protagonist takes or the danger lurking. A powerful production coming that can steal players’ hearts, just as SOMA did in its time.
- Premiere: October 21, 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X | S.
Gotham Knights
Warner Bros. The games made us wait a long time for the next game set in the Batman universe to come to an end. Seems to be worth the patience as the Knights of Gotham promised to be a lot of fun. We will control one of the four (or each of them – to choose from, choose the color) and try to organize the streets of Gotham City. It’s worth noting that the title is supposed to taste better in co-op mode.
- Premiere: October 25, 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
call of duty modern warfare 2
The last two installments of the Call of Duty franchise cannot boast of the quality expected – especially Vanguard, which has distinguished itself from Modern Warfare since 2019. Now the baton has been seized by the trusted Infinity Ward, which in 134 days will allow us to learn about the new history of the Task unit Force 141 headed by Captain Price. After the last positions of this team, we can be sure that the Modern Warfare 2 story campaign will surprise us many times over.
- Premiere: October 28, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
Callisto Protocol
Callisto Protocol is described as “AAAA” survival horror, which means it has a bigger budget than other big games. After the first play, the game looks very good, and whether it will offer the “next generation” experience we will find out at the end of the year. The developers will allow us to take control of Jacob Lee, who ends up at a research facility on Callisto, Jupiter’s moon.
- Premiere: December 2, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
A Plague’s Tale: Requiem
Fans of A Plague Tale: Innocence should be looking for more details on Amicia and Hugo’s adventure in great detail. During this year’s “pseudo E3” it was confirmed that the title will appear on the market later this year. The creators will offer a familiar experience, because the mechanics or the assumptions of the gameplay will not change much from what we know from Asobo Studio launched from 2019.
- Premiere: in 2022 (exact date to be determined on June 23).
FIFA 23
FIFA 23 will be the first installment of the series in more than 30 years as Electronic Arts will not cooperate closely with the FIFA organisation. It is not known why the two companies are incompatible. However, it has been confirmed that from 2023 there will be subsequent parts of the football brand under the name EA Sports FC, which in its own way is revolutionizing the genre of games. FIFA 23 promises to be another exemplary FIFA, which is worth mentioning on this list.
- Premiere: Probably September/October 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
Hogwarts Legacy
Warner Bros. Not only the Batman franchise, but also Harry Potter has been frozen. For a long time, Avalanche Software has been working on The Legacy of Hogwarts, which promises to be an RPG full of interesting content. We will play a young wizard or sorceress who will visit the location of the title to learn new skills and face the incoming threat.
- Premiere: Maybe 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
God of War: Ragnarok
Sony may have left God of War: Ragnarok in the last quarter of 2022. Santa Monica Studio brought gameplay from production already that year, so the new adventure of Kratos and his son Atreus has been playable for a long time. All signs in the sky are that the game is being improved, which is what most PlayStation owners are eagerly awaiting.
- Premiere: Possibly in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is Ubisoft’s first high-budget project, built from the start with current generation consoles in mind. The French company hasn’t held its summer conference yet, so when it comes, we should receive a full presentation of the adventure game along with the release date. Most importantly, James Cameron’s Avatar 2 premiere is scheduled for December 16, 2022, so there’s a chance that if you want to kill two birds with one stone, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be available in the last month of the calendar year.
- Premiere: Possibly December 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
The new need for speed
The Need for Speed series is getting impressive, and the three-year respite is set to help the brand step out of the shadows. Electronic Arts doesn’t say much about the contestant at the moment, except that it will debut this fiscal year. EA races usually appear on store shelves in the second half of the year, so everything indicates that a similar scenario is set for Need for Speed 2022. We’ll learn more about possible EA Play Live this year.
- Premiere: Maybe 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
The Witcher 3 Next Generation
In the end, there were raisins from local developers from CD Projekt RED. After several problems and delays for the “next generation” premiere of The Witcher 3, it looks like everything is on its way to Geralt’s updated adventure debuting on the current generation of consoles this year.
- Premiere: October-December 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
