European Sustainable Transport Week begins on Thursday 16 September. Next week, local government authorities and all entities involved in the campaign will encourage people to change transportation habits that are unfavorable to the environment and health. The project will end on September 22nd on European Car-Free Day.
European Sustainable Transport Week is an initiative aimed at changing habits unfavorable to health and the environment. It’s time to take care of your own planet and switch from passenger cars to public transportation. Buses, trams, and trains can seem awkward and uncomfortable. However, actually using public transportation not only saves money, but also time.
Sustainable transport is not just buses, trams and trains. It also includes bicycles and scooters, which are an ideal complement to public transport, regardless of city traffic jams.
Public transportation is one of the best ways to combat rising temperatures. Only as a community that works together, moves together and changes its habits, can we save the planet. When switching from cars to public transportation, we take care of ourselves, our loved ones, the local community, and the environment.
