Gas prices on the Polish Energy Exchange are breaking new records, and experts warn that demand will continue to grow. With it, most likely, the prices.
We are in a record warming season. Historical records for gas prices are set on the Polish Energy Exchange, and yet we still have an astronomical summer – remember “Rzeczpospolita”.
“Prices in the futures markets indicate that the current High price levels will remain until the end of the first quarter of 2022, that is, until the end of the heating season– claims the supplier quoted by the newspaper PGNiG.
I remember that Since October, PGNiG has increased prices for retail customers by 7.4%. It has already obtained the approval of the Energy Regulatory Bureau. The new tariffs are in effect through January, and that may not be the end of the increases.
– If the prices here go up by 100 percent. And PGNiG will take it into account in January from January, It will shock the audience. What happens is the spread of this increase over time: next year it will be less severe, although it will still be felt strongly – explains Kamel Klischkes of Dom Maklerski mBanku in Rzeczpospolita.
