There were 21 people on board the McDonnell Douglas MD-87, including three crew members. Passengers and staff were safely evacuated. Most likely, only one person was injured. The plane was chartered, supposedly carrying passengers to the game in Boston.

The causes of the accident are unknown, the plane, for an unknown reason, left the runway and hit the fence, ran over and caught fire. According to Click2houston.com, the firefighting process was not easy, but it was carried out efficiently and the crash site was secured by the services. The plane crash caused power outages in more than 1,800 homes in the area, but the power supply was soon restored. The National Transportation Safety Board will lead an investigation into the accident.
