It will start August 29 thanks to NASA. This is a new chapter in human history - o2

On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 lander with astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. “This is a small step for man, but a big leap for mankind,” the mission leader said as he took a step on Earth’s natural moon. Will future astronauts repeat this feat? Everything indicates that in three years more people will study the Silver Globe.

NASA plans to send more people to the moon. All as part of the Artemis mission, preparations for which have been going on for several years. In the coming days, the US space agency will launch the “world’s most powerful rocket” into lunar orbit. This represents a new chapter in the mission to return humans to the Moon.

If all goes as planned, Artemis’ first flight into space will take place on Monday. It will be unmanned and tested. Its purpose is to check if the manufactured equipment will take off and there will be no technical problems so that in a few years more people can reach the moon.

In a few days, NASA will launch a rocket on the moon. People will be there in three years?

The Artemis 1 mission will be the first launch of the new Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which NASA says is “the most powerful rocket in the world.” It will orbit the Orion capsule, which is powered by Airbus’ European Service Module (ESM).

The Artemis 1 mission is expected to take 42 days, 3 hours and 20 minutes, sending the Orion spacecraft on a round trip of up to 40,000. miles [ok. 64 tys. km – red.] Beyond the Moon and traveled a total of 1.3 million miles [ok. 2 mln. km – red.] He writes for the Washington Post.

The new mission aims to prove that humans can go to the moon for a longer and more permanent period. NASA also wants to assess if some kind of infrastructure can be built on and around the Moon that would allow people to survive on a different planetary body – the Mirror wrote.
