Jan Staninda was born on January 22, 1953 in Bitum. Graduated from the Academy of Music. F. Chopin in Warsaw in the violin class of Krzysztof Jakovic. Since 1975 he has been a member of the Polish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Jerzy Maksimyuk, and from 1977 he has been its director and soloist. In 1976, the artist was honored at the International Violin Competition. Niccolo Paganini in Genoa.
Stanienda’s death was announced by his son, Krzysztof, a pianist. He wrote: “Tonight, at the age of 68, my father passed away. An invaluable man, violinist, teacher. We will all remember his fiery and moody concerts, as well as his passion for educating young musicians. I ask you to pray and enter heaven to open the doors for him.” Blue. Stanienda performed with, among others, with Yehudi Menuhin, Maurice Andre, Michael Petri, Wanda Wikomerska, Krzysztof Jakovic, Janus Starker, Barbara Hendricks, Maurice Borg, Lydia Grzanka-Urbaniak, as well as Krzysztof Jablowski, Andrejm Grshadzadzkidzukkizk, Andriić, Ewa Popchuka.
The artist has performed in all European countries and outside Europe, in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic, Concert Gebau in Amsterdam, Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid, Barbican Center and Royal Albert Hall in London (at BBC Henry) Wood Promenade Concerts ) and Santa Cecilia in the Vatican.
In the years 1986-2000 he was the musical director of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, and in the years 1991-1992 as “Violin solo premier” of Staninda, he directed the Orchestra National de Chambres in Toulouse. He also sang with this band on January 1, 1992, at the Concert for Peace in Dubrovnik, with the participation of Barbara Hendricks. In the years 1992-1995 he was also the artistic director of the chamber orchestra “Leopoldinum”.
On the initiative of Jan Staninda, in 1996 the Wroclaw Chamber Orchestra “Wratislavia” was created and became its artistic director. Stanienda was also the creator, creator and artistic director of the chamber music festival “Wieczory w Arsenale”, which has been held in Wroclaw since 1997.
As written on Culture.pl, the artist has made several premieres of works by contemporary Polish composers and archival recordings for Polish Radio, French Radio, Polish Television and French Television, as well as for record companies: Aperto, Lin Records, Bavani, Kos Warsaw Records, Docs, Tunpres . In 2006, he was awarded the Wrocław Music Award.
