The White House has said that Joe Biden (left) will not return to Ukraine. However, Reuters reports that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Schmidt will fly to Washington.
“We are not ready for US President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine, but we are considering a visit by a senior US administration official to Kiev,” White House spokeswoman Jen Zaki said on Friday. In turn, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Schmidt will travel to Washington, Reuters reported.
Zaki, quoted by the New York Times, denied that Biden had planned to visit the White House in Ukraine. The U.S. president said on Thursday that he was ready to return to Russia, but that his security services would not allow it.
