From next year, a very significant increase in the minimum wage is being prepared (it will be implemented twice). Check the current minimum wage and how it has been affected by the tax changes introduced a few months ago. 3010 PLN gross is the minimum wage in Poland. For comparison, the average salary in the first quarter of 2022 totaled 6,235.22 PLN (data from the Central Statistical Office). Poland is struggling with high inflation, and price hikes are particularly felt by those earning the minimum wage. Next year, the government announced a significant increase in the minimum wage – which will be raised twice – in January and July 2023 (more on this later in the article).
The minimum wage increased by PLN 210 in January 2022 and reaches Total 3010 PLNminimum hourly wage – 19.70 PLN total.
Salary increase to a total of 3010 PLNThat the employee will exceed PLN 2210 “in hand” under the previous rules. However, if we calculate the bonus taking into account tax changes as part of the “Polish system”, then the minimum net salary will amount to more than 2,363.56 PLN.
