Polish supermarket chain Dino embarrasses Lidl, Biedronka and abka

Dino can jump over Biedronka with the number of stores

The group just released its latest financial results, which industry experts described as “ridiculous growth.” It turns out the company is doing a great job. Experts have long announced that the Polish supermarket chain may jump – with the number of stores – Pedronka.

Only from the beginning of this year to the end of September, the chain opened 256 new stores (234 a year ago).

– At the end of September 2022, the chain consisted of 2,069 stores, compared to 1,706 stores in the previous year. The sales area of ​​Dino’s warehouses reached 812.6 thousand square meters. square meters for 666.8 thousand. square meters a year ago – the company said.

However, it is the financial resources that amaze the most. In the third quarter of this year, Dino Polska’s revenue was 54 percent. higher than in the same period in 2021

In the past three months, sales revenue amounted to PLN 5.4 billion and after three quarters of 2022, it reached the level of PLN 14.1 billion. It’s about 48.5 percent. More than in January-September 2021 and more than revenue generated in the whole of 2021. Then the company recorded a result of 13.4 billion PLN.

The mysterious billionaire is the richest tycoon

Dino is a Polish chain of medium-sized grocery stores located near customers’ homes, even in small towns. The company is one of the fastest growing retail grocery store chains in Poland in terms of number of stores and sales revenue.

Thomas Bernacki is behind its creation. He is a mysterious billionaire who neither shines in salons nor is he pictured in the media. Recently, he took the first place in the list of the 100 richest Poles. The ranking was prepared for the 33rd time by the weekly “Wprost”. The mysterious billionaire can boast of assets worth more than 15 billion PLN. At least these are estimates. He debuted on Bierancki’s roster in 2017 and it only took him 5 years to climb to the top.

As for Bernacki’s lifestyle, he is not the only mysterious rich man in this type of rating. For years, Tadeusz Chmiel has been included in the world rankings. He is the founder of the well-known furniture company Black Red White. Also, hardly anyone knows what it looks like.

But Schmiel was never No. 1. And Bernacki became one. It outperformed the current leader of the arrangement – Zygmunt Solorz, owner of the Polsat Group. It also jumped above the owner of the chemical company Synthos and perhaps the most famous company Cersanit by Michał Sołowow.
