Ulaga was a former jumper. Like Yugoslavia. At the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, he won a bronze medal in a team competition. Four years ago, he failed to take only 56th place at the Sarajevo Olympics, although he was one of the main contenders for the medal and the hosts depended on him a lot.
– I was the only reporter to come close to the defeated Primoz Olaga – This legendary jump story was often remembered, but so was the legendary commentator Włodzimierz Szaranowicz.
After his career, Olaga worked for the Slovenian Federation. Until 2013, he was its president. He gave up his post under the accusations. He resigned after being accused of corruption.
During his tenure, Ulaga was supposed to charge a commission on the earnings of players and coaches. Peter Breivik and Robert Kranjc did not intend to agree to such terms, but among other things Andrau Pojrajc, Nej Frank and Janez Grelic agreed with them.
Of course, Olaga did not plead guilty to the charges against him. However, he pleaded guilty at the last hearing. As a result, he was given a 23-month prison sentence suspended for three years.
