“Peace, peace, peace. Everything we need” – the message given by Andrei Rublev at the court in Turin became a hit on social media.

Tennis commentator Jose Morgado shared a snapshot (see below) on his Twitter profile. The photo containing the appeal written by the Russian on the camera has so far been liked by almost five thousand netizens. The journalist revealed that he was “received warmly by the audience”.

On Monday, Rublev dueled on court with Daniil Medvedev in Match 1 of the 2022 ATP Finals in Turin (more here). The fierce duel lasted 2 hours 31 minutes. The fate of the meeting was decided by a break in the tie, in which the 25-year-old from Moscow turned out to be better.

This is not the first time that Rublev has opposed Russia’s armed attack on Ukraine. At the beginning of the war initiated by Vladimir Putin’s regime on February 24, Rublev sharply condemned the actions carried out by his country.

a look:
He condemned the war but will not play at Wimbledon. “It’s all-encompassing discrimination.”
