Summary of the 3rd National Children’s Nursery Rhyme Competition on Farm Safety – festive ceremony with the participation of Minister Przemyslav Kazarnik – Ministry of Education and Science

There are risks in working on a farm that must be anticipated. Thanks to this, you can avoid many misfortunes – said Minister Przemysław Czarnek during the competition summary. The head of the Middle East Network emphasized that the preventive measures are having the intended effects, because since 1993 the number of accidents in agriculture has decreased by 80 percent.

– I am convinced that safety in the countryside and safety in agriculture will be raised to a higher level, so that life in the countryside will be better, because the Polish countryside is really beautiful – said the head of MEiN.

Contest results

1,521 children from rural areas participated in the competition. Nursery songs were evaluated in two stages. In the evaluation, the committee took into account: commitment to the idea and theme of the competition, originality and creativity in transmitting content as well as linguistic values. The authors of the 20 most awarded works have received monetary prizes.

The names of the provincial stage winners are available at the KRUS regional offices to which applications have been sent.

Honorary sponsorship of the competition was taken over by the Minister of Education and Science Przemyslav Ksarnik.

The task of the competition was to compose a nursery song to promote the correct habits and behavior of children regarding work and play on the farm. This year’s edition of the competition is held under the slogan “We have a safe place in the countryside because we know the dangers of falling.” He was dedicated to promoting knowledge on how to prevent falls on the farm. The event is part of the KRUS campaign “The Farmer’s Role to Avoid Falls”.
