Supporting schools in educational activities in the face of crisis events in the world and in Poland – summary of the IPZIN and MEiN . conferences

April 26 this year. A joint conference was held between the Institute for Integrated Prevention and the Ministry of Education and Science. During the event, the results of surveys conducted among teachers, students and parents were presented. Specific educational and preventive tools related to strengthening the psychological state of children and adolescents were also presented. More than 1,400 participants attended the conference online.
During the conference, the results of research conducted by the Institute for Integrated Prevention (IPZIN) were presented. Conducted on more than 35,000 students, parents and teachers in the 2021/2022 school year, including in March-April this year. Special educational and preventive tools related to strengthening the mental state of students during the war and the wave of war refugees were also presented.
Among the tools that were introduced is a free app that allows institutions to join the preventative school initiative “Move in Any Weather”. Thanks to this application, the school can conduct independent research to diagnose the state of the school environment. He will receive a presentation of the results within 24 hours. The application contains a lot of inspiration, ready-made scenarios of activities for young people and workshops for parents. They have been adapted to the current situation of war and the wave of refugees. More than 1,000 schools are already registered with the app.
The experience of supporting students during the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine was shared, among others, by Lublin Director of Education Teresa Misyuk and Silesian Education Supervisor Ursula Bauer.
The conference was organized by the Institute of Integrated Prevention in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science within the framework of the Social Responsibility Program for Science.
