The Americans (maybe) supply arms to Ukraine. They don't talk about it in public

Two days later, Yahoo! Al-Nabaa published an article in which it stated that the recent attacks on Russian targets in the Crimea were not the result of commandos carrying explosives, as Ukraine suggests. Instead, Yahoo said the explosions were the result of long-range missile strikes. This was pointed out by former US Special Forces Michael Weiss and James Rushton Ukraine does not have missiles with a range that would allow it to attack the Saki air base in Crimea At least not with the missiles that America and its partners publicly say were launched.

According to Weiss and Rushton, one possibility is that the United States secretly sent the ATACMS tactical missile system to Ukraine. If true, it would be contrary to what the administration says publicly. In July, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said at the Aspen Security Forum that sending these missiles would further provoke Russia and possibly spark World War III.

Maybe it was not ATACMS. Today, two people familiar with the matter told us that the United States has transformed Excalibur precision guided munition August 19 weapons package, although the administration has not announced this publicly. Moreover, a document the administration sent Friday to lawmakers lists what was included in the latest $775 million package, noting that what goes into Ukraine is not “limited” to what is included in the notification.

We admit that this is all speculation. No government official has confirmed or even suggested secret shipments of arms to Ukraine. Even if that were the case, there is no chance that he would share such a decision with us. However, if the secret weapon theory is correct, some experts support a quieter approach. Happily, the administration appears to be talking less and doing more about arms transfers. This is a good thing because it gives the Russians some uncertainty, says Tom Karako of the CSIS Center for Surveys in Washington.
