Trapman Bermagui was a catch he would remember for the rest of his life. The Australian sailed on his boat in the waters of the ocean. The hunter planned an ordinary hunt, but on that day, fate prepared for him an unusual surprise. At some point, the guy pulled an animal on board, which he totally wasn’t expecting.
This time the Australian came across a very unusual species. Bermagui Trapman has caught a deep sea shark that looks like a creature in a nightmare. The hunter couldn’t believe his eyes, so he grabbed the phone to take some souvenir photos. The photos were later posted by him on Instagram.
It is clear that netizens were horrified by the appearance of the shark. Not many of them believed that the photo that the fisherman posted is not a photo montage. Ryback explained on Instagram that the creature owes its appearance to the place where it lives every day. This species only occurs at depths of more than 600 meters. Worse access to light and lower water temperature mean it doesn’t look like an ordinary shark.
These sharks are spread at depths of more than 600 meters. The hunter revealed that we usually hunt them in the winter.
Dean Grubbs spoke in an interview with Newsweek. The deputy director of research at Florida State University’s Coastal and Marine Laboratory identified the specimen as Centroscymnus owstoni, which belongs to the sleeping shark family. A few days later, another photo appeared on Trapman’s Instagram showing a similar creature taken by another hunter.
