There is a scandalous video of Limassol on social media In Cyprus, where the Russians organized a pro-Russian activity on the occasion of Flag Day.
Pro-war slogans on pro-Russian action
According to the RIA Nosti propaganda agency, the work was organized by the Coordination Council of the Russian-Cypriots. “They extended the 53-meter flag of Russia, which was created specifically for the organization of events in support of Russia in Cyprus, including folding the letters“ Z ”and“ V ”from it, and put emblems supporting Russia in two languages” – it is reported.
Unfortunately, that’s not all. In addition to the pro-war symbols, pro-war, pro-Russia and pro-Putin slogans appeared. The pictures show posters reading “With Russia we will stop neo-Nazis,” “Russian Cyprus. Orthodox” and “Down with lies in the media.”
They shouted: Putin a “great leader” and Zelensky a “terrorist.”
The assembled Russians also chanted: “God is with us”, “Support Russia is a guarantee of the Cypriot economy, we support Russia’s actions”, They described Ukrainian President Zelensky as “Putin a great leader.”
“Zelensky’s terrorist, stop torturing prisoners of war”, “Russia tells the truth”, “Russia! Save us from fascism!” , “There is no NATO in Ukraine and Cyprus”, “Russia! Save the planet” – can be heard in the recordings.
The video from the propaganda work was provided by, among others, the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Hyrashchenko. – One thing puzzles me. Why do they love Russia so much when they are away? – wrote on Twitter.
Cyprus supports Russia?
Also participating in the operation were pro-Russian activists living in Cyprus. One of them said that Cyprus allegedly ranks first among all EU countries that support Russia.
In recent days, there has been a discussion about visa restrictions for Russian citizens. The Ukrainian authorities believe that in this way it contributes to the spread of the idea of the “Ruthenian Mer” in the European Union and other countries. Cyprus and Greece are on the list of those who oppose these restrictions.
Zelensky calls for visa restrictions for Russians
Zelensky himself had previously called on EU countries to suspend the issuance of visas to Russian citizens by EU countries. He argued that the EU should not become a “supermarket” accessible to anyone with the means to enter it. “There must be guarantees that Russian killers or accomplices in the case of terrorism will not use Schengen visas,” the Ukrainian president said.
His advisor, Mikhailo Podolak, expressed a similar view. As he wrote, “The six months of the war showed that they do not care about mass murder, devastated cities, nuclear blackmail, Bucha and Mariupol.”
