In Toru, there is the three-day Kujawsko-Pomorskie International Forum on Innovation, Science, Business and Local Government (November 6-8, 2022) – a scientific conference dedicated to new technologies, innovations, inventions and innovative investments that are transforming the country and region based on smart disciplines. Zbigniew Sosnowski, deputy county marshal, participated in yesterday’s inauguration. Today’s sessions (November 7), on the second day of the meeting, were opened by Marshal Piotr Kaupicki. Elżbieta Piniewska, President of the District Council, participating in a panel discussion on the contemporary role of science and research, Zbigniew Ostrowski, Vice Marshal at the debate on digital solutions in management.
The objective we have set for this interesting meeting of scientists, local government officials, representatives of government institutions and business people is to promote regional scientific, technological and innovation potential and open discussion on business cooperation in the field of knowledge transfer. I am convinced that such meetings serve not only to exchange ideas in the elite group, but also to advance technology and build a better social reality in many areas. – confirms Marshal Peter Kaibeki. Among the conference participants is Professor Bogoslav Poszewski, a prominent Polish chemist working at Nicolaus Copernicus University and associated with the local government of the Koyavian Pomeranian Province. During the opening session, there was, among other things, Prof. Waldemar Wardenke of the Gdansk University of Technology, and the title of his speech was: “Will the Earth survive human invasion? Selected social, economic and environmental issues.”
Today’s discussions also address science as a value in business and academic entrepreneurship; Digitization in companies, virtual and so-called augmented reality, the protection of sensitive data in digital times; Science and innovation in an international and regional context; Technology solutions for banking. Chemistry as a global science, incl. for medicine.
