Lirim Kastrati joined Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2020 from Lokomotiv Zagreb. In the colors of the Croatian multi-champion, he played 51 matches and scored 4 goals. He is also a representative of Kosovo – he played 14 matches in his colors and scored one goal.
In the current season, Kastrati has already played 10 matches for Dynamo, 5 of which took place as part of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, incl. against Legia Warsaw. But in the aggregate match with the Polish champion, the Kosovar player played only 25 minutes in the first match, which drew 1-1.

According to media reports, the transfer of Lirim Kastrati is the second highest in the history of Ekstraklasa – it was supposed to cost 1.3 million euros. The record also belongs to Legia, who bought Bartosz Slisz from Zagłębie Lubin for approximately 1.8 million. Second place so far has gone to Adriel Ba Loua, brought in by Lech Pozna this year.
