As the company wrote in its annual Corporate Policy Transparency Report, the US is the world leader when it comes to Twitter data requests. About 20 percent of requests for information come from U.S. government agencies. India is globally ahead of Japan and France in this ranking.
The US has been the world leader in Twitter data requests since 2012. The only exception was the US, which moved into second place in the second half of 2020.
