© Reuters. US stocks edge lower in late trade; The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.11% – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses across stocks and sectors eased.

At the close on the New York Stock Exchange, the index fell 1.11% to touch a 52-week low, while the index lost 1.03% and the index lost 0.60%.

The best performers of the session on the index were Walmart Inc (NYSE:), which rose 0.96% or 1.25 points to trade at 131.31. Meanwhile, Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) added 0.23% or 0.34 points to 150.77 and Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:) was up 0.10% or 0.13 points to 135.71.

The worst performers of the session were The Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE: ), which declined 3.14% or 4.88 points to trade at 150.60. Company Boeing Co (NYSE:) decreased 2.99% or 3.92 points to trade at 127.34. Chevron Corp (NYSE: ) traded down 2.63% or 3.81 points to 140.96.

The best performers of the S&P 500 session were Wynn Resorts Limited (NASDAQ 🙂 ), which rose 11.99% to trade at 66.80. Company Las Vegas sand Corp (NYSE:) fell 11.81% to trade at 39.66, and Costco Wholesale Corp (NASDAQ:), which rose 2.98% to 480.30.

The company recorded huge losses Dish Network Corporation (NASDAQ:), which fell 6.12% to 14.27. By the close of trade, AES Corporation (NYSE:) lost 5.48% to end the trading day at 22.96, while Halliburton Company (NYSE:) gained 5.17% to 23.31.

The company posted the best result among the components of the NASDAQ Composite Index LAVA THERAPEUTICS NV (NASDAQ:), which gained 97.50% to close the session at 4.74. Company DIRTT ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS LIMITED (NASDAQ:) fell 42.87% to close at 0.45, and Panbela Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose 25.96% to 0.34.

The company recorded huge losses Powerbridge Technologies Co Ltd (NASDAQ: ) which lost 68.57% to close the session at 0.50. By the end of trading, Scienjoy Holding Corp (NASDAQ:) lost 43.77% to end the trading day at 1.67, while the company Snow Lake Resources Ltd (NASDAQ 🙂 rose 40.88% to 1.88.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 531 to 2670 and 127 ended their session unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange. On the other hand, among NASDAQ-listed companies, 2,593 of them fell and 1,248 rose, while 274 remained unchanged.

Shares of DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: ) traded down 6.12% or 0.93 to hit a 5-year low at 14.27 during the session. Shares of Scienjoy Holding Corp (NASDAQ 🙂 fell to an all-time low, down 43.77% or 1.30 to end at 1.67. Shares of Snow Lake Resources Ltd. (NASDAQ: ) were hit lower and lost 40.88% or 1.30 to end the session at 1.88.

Implied volatility, which measures S&P 500 options, rose 7.82% to 32.26, a new 3-month high.

Gold futures for December delivery were down 1.57%, or 26.05, at $1.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trade, crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.84%, or 2.24, to settle at $76.50 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.85%, or 2.42, to settle at $82.61 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.84% ​​at 0.96, while USD/JPY was up 0.94% at 144.66.

US dollar index futures rose 0.99% to 114.07.
