© Reuters US stocks end lower in trade; The Dow Jones industrial average fell 1.70% – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in stocks and sectors eased.

At the close on the New York Stock Exchange, the index fell 1.70% to hit a 3-month low, while the index fell 1.71% and the index lost 1.79%.

The best performers of the session on the index were Walmart Inc. (NYSE:), which rose 0.91% or 1.22 points to trade at 134.77. Meanwhile, the company Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE: ) declined 0.79% or 2.55 points to trade at 320.71. Chevron Corp (NYSE: ) declined 0.81% or 1.27 points to 155.01.

The company was very poor caterpillar Inc (NYSE:), which declined 3.39% or 6.04 points to trade at 171.95. Company American Express Company (NYSE: ) declined 3.11% or 4.77 points to 148.71 and JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE: ) declined 2.88% or 3.34 points to 112.49.

Among the components of the S&P 500 index, the company posted the best result General Mills Inc (NYSE:), which rose 5.72% to close the session at 79.72. Kellogg Company (NYSE:) fell 2.01% to 72.91, while DXC Technology Co (NYSE:) was up 1.81% to 27.54.

The biggest losers were Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: ), which closed down 8.04% at 41.54. By the end of trading, Warner Bros. Discovery Inc (NASDAQ:) lost 7.49% to close the trading day at 12.22, while the company Las Vegas sand Corp. (NYSE: ) rose 6.77% to 36.62 at the close.

The best performers of the session on the NASDAQ composite were Stabilis Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:), which surged 73.67% to trade at 8.84. Company ECMOHO LIMITED (NASDAQ:) fell 50.73% to close at 0.17, and Evaxion Biotech AS (NASDAQ:), which rose 22.63% to 2.33.

The company recorded huge losses ShiftPixy Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 36.55% to 13.66. At the close of trade, Sesen Bio Inc (NASDAQ:) lost 32.74% to end the trading day at 0.45, while Integrated Media Technology Ltd (NASDAQ:) rose 29.54% to 0.73.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancers by 2,299 to 829, and ended 132 unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange. On the other hand, among companies listed on the NASDAQ, 2,683 declined and 1,058 advanced, while 300 remained unchanged.

Shares of General Mills Inc (NYSE: ) hit an all-time high, up 5.72% or 4.31 to end the session at 79.72. Shares of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc (NASDAQ: ) traded down 7.49% or 0.99 to a 5-year low, ending the session at 12.22. Shares of Stabilis Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:) touched a 52-week high, rising 73.67% or 3.75 to end the session at 8.84. Shares of Integrated Media Technology Ltd (NASDAQ: ) slipped to hit an all-time low, falling 29.54% or 0.30 to end the session at 0.73.

It measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, which rose 3.06% to 27.99, a new 1-month high.

Gold futures for December delivery were up 0.68%, or $11.40 to $1.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trade, crude for November delivery fell 1.01%, or 0.85, to settle at $83.09 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.73%, or 0.66, to $89.96 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 1.25% at 0.98, while USD/JPY was up 0.19% at 143.99.

US dollar index futures were up 1.00% at 111.04.
