The embassy’s Twitter account reported on Makhrovsky’s visit.
“We are pleased to announce the arrival of the new Polish Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Marek Makhrovsky, to mark the beginning of a new chapter in Poland’s diplomatic presence in Washington,” the tweet said.
Makhrovsky, who previously served as Poland’s ambassador to Israel, will replace Pyotr Wilzek, who has been head of the mission in Washington for five years, at the end of October. Meanwhile, Adam Kriszowski, in charge, performed his duties.
