Today, the Chamber of Deputies held a debate on a motion of no-confidence against Minister Przemyslav Ksarnik. After the debate, which was attended by Minister and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the House of Representatives, by a majority vote, rejected the motion of no-confidence against the President of the Middle East and North Africa region. The debate in the House of Representatives was an opportunity to present the most important activities undertaken by the Minister of Education and Science.
As a state, we have a constitutional obligation to protect children. We need to liberate academic freedom. We do not want anyone to be punished for his views – Minister Przemyslav Ksarnik emphasized during his speech.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also took part in the debate on the proposal, stressing the importance of the current minister’s actions in favor of the Polish school, as well as science and higher education.
We must not agree on everything, but we must defend children and youth against ideology and indoctrination. Minister Kazarnik’s program is our program. “We will defend this program and the minister,” the prime minister said. We want intellectual independence and respect for society. From here arise the right attitudes – respect for society, teamwork and the ability to self-actualize. The Prime Minister added that today we also defend a certain philosophy and the foundations of our culture.
After the discussion, a vote was taken, which resulted in the lower house of parliament rejecting a vote of no-confidence motion against Minister Przemyslav Kzarnik by a majority of votes.
