All the signs in the sky are that WhatsApp will soon allow you to transfer chats from Android to iOS. Officially and without unnecessary gymnastics.
Moving WhatsApp chats between platforms is an ongoing topic. Although dozens of third-party tools have been developed for this purpose, the communication device itself, to put it mildly, does not impress with its relay capabilities.
Suffice it to say that the only officially supported scenario was change for a long time From iPhone to Samsung and not the other way around. Later on, this list was expanded to include Pixels, and eventually to all Android 12 devices, but still only one-sided. By the way, completely forgetting about the equipment of the older generations.
WhatsApp attends iPhone migration
And if the iPhone is the target device, only the unauthorized apps will remain. Well, unless someone loves gymnastics and wants to use exports single strands via email, but let’s leave some extreme thoughts behind.
Anyway, soon the problem of moving the most popular messengers in the world from Android to iOS should stop. As reported by WABetaInfo, the company is working on Integration with the application Go to iOS, a full-time Apple tool for copying data from Android to iOS, which allows, among other things, to transfer photos, contacts and some accounts.
Traces of such a function are found in the latest one Beta version number 22.2.74and earlier versions in version 2.21.20.11. As a guide, you can see the first screenshots above.
What does this mean in practice? iPhone buyers will finally be able to transfer WhatsApp chats to their new phones without clutter. The only surprise is that it is only now.
