The Idea Bank is gone, but there are still IT systems and clients attached to it. In November, Pekao Bank intends to complete the integration process and implement the so-called immigration weekend – determined by money.pl. Goal? Full system integration and retention of as many customers as possible.
The last days of December 2020 are considered a historic event in the Polish banking market. Bank Pekao takes care of troubled ideas bank together with clients, their accounts, contracts and liabilities. Bank employees are also under his wing. All in accordance with the compulsory acquisition decision taken by the Bank Guarantee Fund.
According to BFG, the bank was on the highway to bankruptcy and no restructuring was able to stop it. The head of Idea Bank, Jerzy Pruski, and the owner – Leszek Czarnecki, were of the opposite opinion.
However, the decision was made and the bank has not been around for six months. However, there are its clients and systems. Bank Pekao now intends to complete the process of integrating ideas into its structures.

– We are preparing for the full integration of Pekao customers with the acquired part of the previous Idea Bank. It will be a combination of technology infrastructure, but we are also working with customers, says Wojciech Werochowski, Pekao Vice President in charge of Retail Banking, to money.pl.
